Kaixo and Barra Barra to replace Baba + Barbouni in Grand Central District.
Baba and its tinned fish bar Barbouni will serve their final plates July 3. Kaixo will occupy Baba’s main dining room while Barra Barra will occupy the Barbouni space. Chef Andrew Duncan and Sommelier Danielle McCoy are pivoting the food and wine to the traditions of the Iberian Peninsula. Same team, entirely new direction. One of the most interesting transitions the local dining scene has seen this year.

Philip Morris International is bringing ~180 Jobs to Tampa with a New Business Solutions Center.
This new hub will consolidate key functions-business solutions, distribution operations, and customer service- to enhance operational efficiency within PMI. This move will not only introduce new job opportunities in Tampa Bay, but also support economic development in the region. This will be a significant corporate anchor for the market heading into the second half of 2026.
